Would if it help buy the old direct hit books?

Ok my PSATs are in october and my i am probably going to take my Sats for the first time either at the end of this year or the beginning of 2010. I feel I am doing well in my Studying, but i really want to make sure I know vocab. I heard the direct hits book are the best, but now i know the 2010 edition should be coming out around mid september. My question is should I wait or will the old books be fine to use for Sats in december or January. I feel the old books might have outdated words and would be worthless to use. Thanks!

They’re not outdated. In fact, they’re all recycled in the 2010 edition.

it really doesn’t make a difference which one you get. If you have the time, then wait to get the 2010 edition. If you don’t then just get the old edition. 3 months should be more than enough to memorize the words, so i would go with the newer one. it’s your call though.

the new '10 book has 35 new words…

Thanks im jus going to wait!

The old books are fine. Most of the new content is examples, not actually new words. There are only a few new words, and even less words taken out.

^ actually the old book has 365 entries… the new book has 400 entries. all of which are new.

do the math.

^ The count of new words should be somewhere in the 40s… maybe even the 50s, I know.
