In my ap gov class i have a 68 i’ve done everything to get my grade up to a 70 but i’ve run out of time and it is now final, i’ll be making up the class as it’s needed for graduation next semester. but what effect will this have on my acceptance, will it get rescinded? The school will get my mid-term grades and will see this failing mark, although i do have all As in my other classes.
Maybe. It depends on the school and the agreement you signed when you accepted.
If 68 is a D or F grade, that can be risky, depending on what your admission letter says about conditions you must fulfill with respect to your in-progress courses and grades.
If your admission is at risk of rescission, talk to them now (or as soon as the grade is final) about it. If they tell you that your admission will be rescinded (hence cancelling the ED agreement), you still have time to apply to other colleges.
Agree with all of the above posts. However, before contacting the college or university, talk to your college counselor and/or to any dean or principal at your high school about your concerns to determine if anything can be done to regrade or to supplement your coursework as well as for suggestions regarding how to present your situation to the college / university.
