Would Penn rather see consistency or large improvement throughout high school?

Would the University of Pennsylvania rather see consistency (high grades, good amount extracurricular activities, and excellent standardized tests) or large improvement throughout high school (low grades, low amount of extracurricular activities, and low standardized test scores in the beginning of high school, but was inspired by the school and improved to have high grades, good amount extracurricular activities, and excellent standardized tests during the middle and end of high school)?

I would say consistency unless you have a good story behind the large improvement.

Anyone would prefer consistency, as long as that consistency is ‘consistently the best’.

Consistency. But high consistency. Unless you have perfect grades and ec’s you should always be looking to improve. Set the standard high and then surpass it

I would say consistency but also consistently improving to be better.
