Would someone chance me for USC?

<p>I was wondering if anyone could give me their thoughts on my chances at USC for 2007-2008. Here are my stats:</p>

<p>Union High School; Tulsa, OK
Competitive high school; top 3-4 high schools in OK
3.65 un, 4.72 W GPA
29/939 rank
9 AP's (US, World, Comp Sci A, Chem, Psyc, Eng Lang, Eng Lit, Bio, Gov)
9 Pre-AP's/honors
31 ACT (32 eng, 34 math, 28 reading, 29 science)</p>

<p>Essay on service and mission trips
solid counselor rec</p>

<p>EC's
NHS
Key Club (parliamentarian)
Mu Alpha Theta (math club)
Business Professionals of America
Drug Free Youth
Garnett Church of Christ (my church; did mission trips, youth retreats and volunteered in food pantry)</p>

<p>Worked two summers as lifeguard and also worked at Southern Hills Country Club Golf Course (hosted 2001 US open and host to 2007 pga championship)
have won business awards as well as chem-e-car compeitition; 4 year academic and athletic letter winner
Varsity swim team captain
swimming since 6
gold medalist at OK high school state swimming championships
hold 3 school records in swimming
I'm also a 1st generation college student</p>

<p>i don't understand how your weighted gpa is more than a full point higher than your unweighted. how's that possible?</p>

<p>If that's the case, I'd probably have to downgrade my estimation.</p>

<p>My school grades on a 6 point AP scale. Most schools do that. It gives 4 pts for regular classes, 5 pts for Pre-AP/Honors, and 6 pts for AP. That's how my GPA is more than a point higher.</p>

<p>Perhaps in your area. But nationally, more schools use the 5 point system.</p>
