So I currently have a 3.6 GPA, going into my junior year and am confident I'll finish with a 4.0. I play sports year round, football, wrestling and track, and over the summer I have to goto football practice everyday and I'm working 20-30 hours a week and I run my own web design business and maintain my own web site. Would the amount of time put into sports and work out way that I will have little volunteering? Also could I count running my web design business as an EC? I have made several sites that I could put into the application to prove the legitimacy and everything to the admission guys.

The websites count as EC as does most everything else.

I’m not sure if the football practice would count if it’s considered part of your regular season, but I don’t think anything bad will happen if you put it down.

Also, the running your own business can count as a leadership activity too.

Hope I helped!

Well its not part of the regular season. It’s ran by our coaches but they call it “football camp” even though its at the school. We have to pay to go to it and everything and regular season doesn’t start until August.

All EC’s ‘count’ and you have some very good ones. You aren’t expected do everything, and you have chosen well what to focus on. On things you are most passionate about, and things that show a good deal of skill, commitment and initiative.
