Would using an SAT dictionary be sufficient?

<p>I have several SAT dictionaries that I never read through the entire way that I was thinking I could use to prepare for the GRE. Would that be sufficient, or is the vocab on the GRE actually difficult enough to warrant me purchasing a GRE-specific vocab book?</p>

<p>I do have GRE testing books to practice problems, but I'm asking here specifically about vocab portions.</p>

<p>no. GRE is higher level, and has a higher percentage of arcane/‘literary’ (?) words. The vocab list on the princeton review books will do fine.</p>
