Would Yale or Stanford Accept me or should I stick to my local state university?

I know so many of these are posted but I need advice on whether or not I'd have a chance so I know whether or not to apply...
I have a 34 composite on the ACT with 33 in math, 34 in science and english, 35 in reading and 11 on the essay. I have a 3.87 unweighted cumulative gpa (thanks to two Bs freshman/sophomore year and A- this year)
My SAT scores leave much to be desired as does my PSAT score o.o
The awkward tooting my own horn part:
I was secretary of my Teen Library Council for five years and this year I will be president.
I am secretary of NHS, keeping track of hours for 298 members.
I was an orchestra council representative for two years and played cello in orchestra for six years.
I have won Certificate of Achievement for getting 50+ hours volunteering at my local library each year for seven years.
I also write book reviews on a book blog jennasbooks.tumblr.com :D (i really like my library and books, so I'm hoping to focus on that in my essay explaining extracurriculars if given the option).
I am a Feline Friend at my local humane society (I work with cats and sometimes kittens its the best thing ever)
I have taken the National Latin Exam and have gotten silver two times and bronze once (lol the same year my twin sister got gold awko taco dinner conversation)
I was a senator and Nationalist county secretary at Girls State.
I want to major in international politics and be an international corporate lawyer, then Senator and then Secretary of State when I'm older....
Honestly, would I have a chance? I know that I'm likely to get into selective schools but highly selective? I'm not so sure... I don't want to apply to so many highly selective schools only to get rejected by all of them. thank you for any advice/comments and I apologize for my probably horrendous grammar and spelling.

Yale: Reach
Stanford: Reach

What state is your local state school in?

Yale and Stanford are reached for everybody, but your stats are pretty solid.

You’re working under the assumption that you have two choices:

Yale or Stanford

State U.

You have literately hundreds of other possibilities. Do some research.

My state school is Indiana University. And my dad told me to choose an Ivy and a Top Ten (aka Yale and Stanford) and then IU. Those are the only schools he has deemed worth paying for so Uchicago and Georgetown wouldn’t be an option for me if I have to pay the 40 grand by myself  thank you so much for all the feedback!!

So just so I get this straight, your dad thinks Stanford is “good enough” to pay for but say U of Chicago isn’t?

Really?

It’s mainly because both my mom and dad are Stanford alum plus, unlike Stanford and the Ivies, UChicago doesn’t get grants to help kids with colleges, they give out loans (which the kids have to pay back)

Given that your father is a Stanford alum, I would think he would be smarter about this.
Sorry, but he really needs to educate himself about this. There are more than 10 schools in the US worth attending. Plus Chicago does offer need-based grants (ohh, looks like dad is wrong again).
