OK so my November test is a 2130, but a 1350 combined. I wanted to improve on the math and reading so I spent some time on it and left the whole last writing section out.
I read the math thread and I got everything right so I think I'll get a 800
I also read the reading thread and think I got a 700. So if you were in my situation with a 800, 700, and lets say a 500, would you cancel the scores?
I left like 22 writing questions blank...so it might even be less then 500...

No I wouldn’t. Mainly because while writing is an important component, after talking to my AP English teacher my junior year, she told everyone that even today the writing portion of the SAT is not weighed as heavily as the other two sections - math and critical reading. Her advice is also very solid because she is an official SAT person (not sure of the right term but she administers the test and coordinates it at one of the local high schools).

So basically no. See what you get. Besides wasn’t today the last day to cancel scores?

Just curious but why did you leave the last section out?

Yea I got until 11:59 I can easily fax it

Actually I left the whole last section out -14 questions and omitted about 5 on the other writing section. I was trying to focus on the math and reading

But, that doesn’t make any sense. I thought writing was always the last section. That means that you didn’t even try to do anything after you finished the reading and math sections…

i think he means that instead of spending the time allotted for the writing section on the writing section ,he went to back to recheck the math and cr sections

(a thing which a surprisingly large number of people do)

I don’t care if you cancel or not, but I hope you know what you did was cheating. You don’t deserve whatever scores you get in M/CR because you had more time to do it than anyone else.

^stop accusing him of cheating

^ Well, technically it was cheating, but I’m not gonna complain because that’s life.

It will be a bit unusual to see you get a really high score in W followed by a very low one and universities may assume that you tried to focus on the other sections. But if you think you got 800/700 then just wait for results and see how it goes.

Oh no, he didn’t cheat at all! [even though the rules clearly state that you must no turn back to any section ._.]

That’s cheating…that’s all I can say. If you wanted a higher score, studying is a better option than cheating. Besides, you’re writing score is going to nosedive because of what you did and it wont look good. I would cancel it.

Forget I Canceled it. I mean 26 questions is too much omitted…

/End Thread

Good. Next time, DON’T cheat.

He might have cheated, but he still got what he deserved—i mean isn’t leaving 22 questions blank enough punishment? sheez…

ROFL guys get the sticks out of your arses and leave him alone. It’s one test that you’ll probably be laughing about 10 years from now anyway
