I am going to be a senior after vacation.
My first SAT that I took last June was horrible. I got 1980 (CR:550 WR:690 M:740)
As soon as I saw my score on the website, I felt like death was near.
Although I didn't study consistently since November last year, I thought it was
easy and I expected a decent score (Which I think above 2100)
As you can see my score is way below 2100. In fact, it's not even 2000.
I've been researching for good strategies for me, but all sound little bit
different from each other and really drive me crazy.

Now I have the Blue book that I bought maybe last year, and Barron's SAT book.
I have NO IDEA how I am going to study all this by next SAT in October.
I want 2100~2200 score. I never have dreamed Ivy. Could you guys
please give me some advice on how to start studying?
And is there a solution manual for Blue book out there in the bookstore?
And did college board change any contents in Blue Book since last year?
Guys please have some mercy and help me..

just use the book
the solutions manual is online at khan academy for math i seemed to lost the link for cr and writing
and no it hasnt changed
good luck

Start studying vocab now, 15 words a day (you have 3 months, ~90 days) so you should be able to get a shtload of words in by then. And keep reviewing them over and over (like if you’re in the car with your parents you can quiz yourself) that should help a lot with CR. Look at Direct hits, rocket review, and princeton’s hit parade.
Writing - practice writing essays A LOT, make sure you make it down to the last line on the second page, and come up with 10 legit examples and study them… i say 10 because you never know what you’ll get on the actual SAT essay prompt… for example, 10 off the top of my head:
1 Of Mice and Men - Lit
2 Huckleberry Finn - Lit
3 To Kill a Mockingbird - Lit

4 American Revolution - Hist
5 WWII - Hist
6 Election of Barack Obama - Hist
7 FDR and the New Deal - Hist

8 Iran Election - Current Events
9 Steroids in baseball - Curr. Events
10 Death of Michael Jackson - Curr. Events

that way you should have something to write about. i’d actually try to go for 5 of each.
For example a quick google search for essay prompts led me to the June ones…
“Is it best for people to accept who they are and what they have, or should people always strive to better themselves?”
For literature you could use Of Mice and Men, how they dreamt of their own farm but it was out of grasp, steroids in baseball, how players try/tried to gain an edge over their competition, and for historical, you could talk about Napoleon and his russian conquest or whatever. You don’t have to use everything from the list but it would help

and for Math, i think you have that under control… just work slower and check all your answers
