<p>The fundamental question is “which better serves me?” There are more luxuries I wish I could afford than things I wish I could command people to do. And people in power eat **** from people unhappy with how the power is used. Sure, wealth draws envy, but dealing with haters isn’t an inevitable part of spending money as it is with exercising power.</p>
<p>Besides, money gives you the power of God; just hire or bribe people to do what you want. No need to contend with the political structure of whatever organizations you control.</p>
