I got a 32 on the act my first time in september, which is like a 1400 and a 2100, i believe. my SAT scores are slightly higher than those scores. Im retaking the ACT in december, but should i send in the 32 to my early action school? Even though it is 99th percentile, does it count for anything when it is lower than my SAT score equivalent?

Colleges will use that test they believe is the higher of the two. If your SAT is truly higher then that is the one they will rely on. The question is whether your SAT is truly higher. You say "slightly" and I assume that is based on looking at a conversion table. The problem is that any particular college may not subscriibe to the conversion table you may be relying on and if you think the scores are close, you cannot be sure which one a college will believe is the higher (unless that college itself publishes its conversion table), in which case you might consider sending both.

yes, and your 32 is a respectable score. Send both in.

32 is a 1420/2120

Don't know where you are applying but a 32 will open admissions and $$ doors at most schools. If you score better next time so much the better but a 32 is fantastic! In fact that is the benchmark my DDs are shooting for.

well my sat is a 1490, and this is for early action at stanford. Im wondering if a 32 would show balance, that i can do well at both tests. Or it might be irrelevant because it is lower than my SAT score.

Would you still send it in? I wont have time to send in my december ACT score in to stanford. should i just go with the SAT for stanford?

Is your SAT score from one seating or superscored? In any case, your ACT score is close enough to not take anything away from your SAT. Send it.

send both.
