My D is contemplating taking Calc I & II at a community college instead of AP Calc AB & BC at her HS. Would this be viewed negatively from an admission standpoint?

um...not really the forum for that question-Try college admissions (on the left under Top Forums)...this is more of a place for hs students

Is she taking a full course load at high school as well? If she passes the BC exam with a >=4, most colleges will give her credit for calc I and II. I am taking calc BC now (I took AB last year), and found AB to be extremely easy. She could most likely skip AB if she skimmed the material over the summer. I would rather take BC at school than take Calc I and II at a CC.

I was wondering about this too actually. Our school doesn't offer APs and the only way to take a calculus course before going to university is to take a course at CC. Yay for crappy publicss :D

I did, I took it from a really intense professor and probably learned it better than a normal high school class.
