WOW, Accepted at NO colleges, HELP!!

GoBlue, you do realize that a University is still super prestigious outside of the top 20, right? UCLA is 25th I think…U Rochester is 35th and has the best music program in the nation.

Hmnn I think she should look lower than below the top 20, maybe in the 40s-50s or lower.

this is the year that has everyone shocked. its like a perfect storm, the highest demographic of kids- the baby boom echo- the parents who are scared to spend money, even on their DD’s and DS’s- schools playing safe and accepting full pays in larger numbers- so who could have guessed this back when? Okay, yeah, a seventeen year old is supposed to do their homework, but really, has anyone seen a year like this?

Sorry, I was thinking LAC’s, private colleges with no PhD programs. I know a few that are still taking late applications … that is, provided that she doesn’t need financial aids.

She SHOULD HAVE applied to UT Austin, that was just ridiculous that she did not. She better start begging BC or enroll at UT DALLAS, they have rolling admission there.

If not, gap year and think about it.

When she calls admission, she should mention her SAT scores and class rank.

I think Tulane might still be accepting apps since they do rolling decisions, but you’d have to check

Maybe she should take a gap year, that way, the next year she could apply to better schools, only if she doesn’t repeat what she did this year :-P

As long as she’s not looking for aid, she can call private colleges that rank below 50 and many will still take an application.
