Wow, it's amazing what practice tests can do.

actually, I set the world record for marathons (ran it in 5 mins), and I thought the sat was harder....go figure

You guys are really confusing.

Stop using analogies, they're only good for teaching a law, not a theory.

You know, until this thread was created, I didn't know that practice tests increased your score. WOW! :)

It's bad enough to sit down for 3.75 hours for the real test. Don't bother doing it for the practice test, there's no need to overtax yourself for 'realism'.

I still will try to get a full test in when I can. My writing and CR scores are improving (I now score in the 600s for them), but they're still not good enough.

Unoriginal- you should check out xiggi's advice thread. u're only a wat, junior? right now, u dont have to take full tests like theres no tomorrow~~ stamina is important yes,but you shouldn't force ur self to do more than u can handle. oh well lol that's my advice~~
try out what you think is good for u~~

I'd love to try out Xiggi's method, but there's no way in Hell I'm going to sift through 40 pages to find scattered tips.

^ I honestly didn't think it was any more than common sense. You will not benefit from reading it if you are already scoring 2000+

I scored in a range up to 2030, but I'm not consistently scoring that. I pretty much just assuming Xiggi's method is taking practice tests and gong over the wrong answers.

^Take the middle or the lowest of the range. The score ranges are extremely broad and the actual SAT curves will never be as generous as the upper range of the BB.

^ yes, that's basically it. + you only take official tests and do it section by section

Lol, all I did was take full-length practice tests.

The middle and lowest ranges on the practice test were still 100+ points over my first SAT. :)

Does CB produce a different book every year with different tests every year, or is is essentially the same 3 tests, just an updated year, every year?

Sorry if that confused anyone.

^ It's 8 tests, and they're the same every year

do you guys go over every answer, or just the wrong ones?

Every question I had the slightest bit of trouble on
