Wow, so I found out I can't get into AP Physics B...(rant, help)

Before school ended, I made my schedule as follows:

APUSH
AP Italian
AP Physics B
Algebra 2/Trig.
Reading & World Literature (college class for SUNY schools)
Latin 1
Cooking
Health
Gym

Upon receiving my schedule, I was placed in Regents Physics (regular Physics class in NY state), and no Cooking.

I was really looking forward to AP Physics B, but seeing as there is only one class, it conflicts with my other AP classes and my math class.

I'm ****ed off because my counselor didn't notify me earlier, and I honestly thought I was going to be in AP Physics.

With no AP classes before my junior year, and only 2 during my junior year, do I stand a shot at top-tier schools? I mean, what do I have to offer now....

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Anyone know of people who took a few AP courses before senior year and went to a top school?

Sorry, just ranting, CC style.

Were you offered any AP classes before Junior year? If you were not, then it won't hurt you. For your Junior year, it won't really hurt you much if you dont take EVERY SINGLE AP class. Only way it would dearly hurt you is if you major in physics or something related like engineering. Plus, you can make your Senior year roster top notch to compensate for Junior year mishaps.

The only AP class usually offered before junior year is AP European History, which I opted not to take, for some reason.

I don't plan to go into any math/science/engineering field, but more of a foreign language or political field. I chose to take AP Italian because I like learning new languages and I wanted my courseload to indicate that.
