Wow, the RD deadline is fast approaching

Heh, with all this excitement about receiving SCEA decisions I've forgotten that many of you are just applying. In fact most of you will have applied before we get our decisions. Anyway, I just wanted to wish luck to everyone, especially those who have procrastinated. :)

who hasn't started their essays yet? ME ME!

I finished my RD app December 1. :)

wow. I'm still struggling with the room mate one. I cant think of a single funny incident. Is my life that serious or does my sense of humor just suck?

i still have the "intellectual experience" to write

Yeah the two other kids at my school applying to Stanford (one just decided she'd appl a few days ago) are struggling to get everything in on time.

Yeah, I still have 2 essays to do. Fun times. They're supposed to get done today, but we'll see...

Yeah, I have two rough drafts written, but the emphasis is on rough. As in, I may end up writing at least one completely new one. BUT, I have an awesome idea for the roommate one. So now I feel more confident than I did a few days ago, when I was stumped.

should i wait for MIT (tomorrow around 215pm) before polishing off my Stanford app

Naaaah. Now is always better.

Plus, if you're like me, you've already paid the application fee. So no matter what, I'm trying for Stanford. It's just that I'll be slightly less worried about it if MIT works out...

Aaargh.

Yeah I have no clue what to write about for the roomate and the long essay. Everything I think of sounds too general or fake...

i haven't started the essays :O
well, these things always seem to get done...good luck to all the EA folks!

i've only done the long essay :( shoot...

i still have the intellectual and the activity short answers to write...the long essay and the roommate essays are bad!!!...and i have exams starting monday...need major help here!

I finished all the shorter essays, but have no idea what to write for the longer one! The topics suck. :(

yeah i like my shorter essays, but that longer essay topic is waay too general. I have no clue what to write about. anyone care to share how they answered the long one?

I'm all done except for the intellectual essay. Everything I write comes off as either superficial or pretentious, or a combination of both. I asked for help ealier, but apparently letting other people know what you've written about is a no-no. :(

I want to finish this sooo bad but I just can't write that essay!!

I thought the intellectual essay was a great topic. Just pick something that really does interest you, show a basic understanding of it (nothing too techinical), and then show why it is interesting by asking questions about it or by writing about its possiblites.

Well, for the intellectual one I wrote about how soap bubbles fascinated me as a child, and how I am again fascinated by them because of how complex they are physically/mathematically. For the ec one I wrote about music, and for the long one about marching band (err, predictable I know). And my roommate one was crappy too, haha. That's why I'm expecting a rejection. These count for a lot guys, just make sure the person shines through the paper. Too bad I can't too it again, I have a great idea for the intellectual one.
