<p>Also, people, don’t get too down about those early rejections from non-Ivies and elite LACs. My friend last year was flat out rejected from Amherst AND Williams, and subsequently got into both Yale and UPenn, and was waitlisted at Harvard. Obviously that one experience doesn’t represent any kind of norm/trend, but it does go to show that this process doesn’t always yield the results you might expect (i.e. dread).</p>
