WPI vs. RPI for ChemE?????????

My options are:
-Umass Amherst 22k
-Northeastern 35k
-University of Rochester 40k
-RPI 30k
-WPI 27k

Which is the best school for chemical engineering and which school should do you guys think I should choose?

I think its between WPI and RPI. If I include my financial aid loans in, it would cost me 18k to go to WPI and 24k to go to RPI.

PS: I live in MA and am thinking of staying here (or the northeast at least) for my entire career.

Since both schools have good career placement in the northeast, it kind of hard to justify the 18K premium at RPI, if money is an important factor in your decision. Not familiar with the ChemE program. MechE at both schools is excellent. You’re liable to get a bit more attention at WPI because it’s smaller.

Thank you! So are you saying I should choose WPI if money is important?

Did you visit WPI? They are having regional events for admittees this weekend. If you like what you’ve heard about WPI thus far, then take their offer and save a few bucks.
