Wpi!!!!!!!!

WPI had no threads, so I thought I would start one!

I applied EA to WPI and am waiting impatiently for my decision!

SAT: CR:670 M:650 W:640
GPA: 3.4 W: 4.3
8 AP's Math Team (WPI tournament)

ummm, I am a girl so that helps a lot at WPI.

Anyone else applying EA??

Hi! Applied EA also  female too, hehe
Hoping to hear back from 3 of my places, WPI included, within the next two weeks crosses fingers

EA here as well. male though :stuck_out_tongue:
the letter really cant show up sooner enough. i want it now, not next week!
I’m waiting on a few other EA schools too, but among them WPi is def. my top choice
there actually are more WPI threads, but you have to change the forum sort option to go back more than a month in order to see them

SAT- 730 CR, 680M, 600 W (writing is really not my strong suit ><)
GPA: 3.4 (i think, not positive on the conversion), no clue what it is weighted

either of you from out of state?

hope we all make it in

I’m out of state. US citizen, but I’ve lived overseas since I was 3.
Decision day (20th, mhmm?) is the Sunday just after my finals, so if I get in, that’ll be nice. Plus it’d be only a few days before my birthday! Double happiness hopefully ^^

Nope, I live about 40 min away from WPI in Mass.

I bet we all will get in, their EA acceptance rate is high like 83%.

I also applied EA and was wondering if they send merit scholarship information with your acceptance or well after it?

about the 20th, i heard that they actually have sent them out as early as the 12th or 13th before, and that that is just a definite “received by” date. not positive though.
and when is your birthday, like the 25th?

Good luck guys. Your stats look good. Writing was not my son’s strong suit either. And he is, so far, happily ensconsed at WPI

22nd ^^ 12 more days until adulthood… kinda scary!

S (freshman) received a letter with Merit $$ info about a week+ after his acceptance packet. Since he/we weren’t expecting any $$, it was a complete surprise.

Last year, i believe some people started to get their acceptances on Dec 13.

Most of us received it on the 15th though.

Good luck, everyone.

According to this blog from the Director of Admissions, they plan on mailing the letters next Wednesday (Dec 16), which is definitely later than last year:

Keep in mind that you can appeal your merit scholarships or can try to match with RPI, CMU, Northeastern, and other schools for financial aid.

AHHH i applied too, i’m a female from RI 640 700 690 cr, m, w. gpa of 93/100 who knows?? patiently awaiting a decision!!

IPDude is correct.
We got our son’s award increased by mentioning how much more RPI had offered. They did not increase it by a huge amount but it helped

^ that is good to know. more financial aid is always better

They’re mailing the letters this week? Yikes! I hope my senior first tri transcript made it to WPI in time for me to hear this week. I’m nervous about that.

Can anyone tell me whether they applied also to RPI? Could really use information on the comparison of WPI and RPI. Applied to both Regular Decision. THanks.

My D got accepted today to WPI.

YES YES YES YES!
that was such a great thing to come home to!
