<p>Can you take writing 140 pass or fail? How many (GE i guess) classes can you take pass or fail? (1?)</p>
<p>Writing's one of those classes I'll never do well on and I don't want a bad grade on my report card... would pass/fail look bad anyhow?</p>
<p>Unfortunately you can't take writ (140 or 340) P/F. Only one GE can be taking P/F. Diversity must be taken for a grade.</p>

<p>I'm pretty sure it can be because a lot of people take their diversity/GE combo course pass/fail.</p>
<p>hmm, that's what I thought. But it struck me that I was just rather assuming that it could, and that no one has actually told me that it can. I'll check next time I go to viterbi student services.</p>
<p>Hmm, I don't think I've ever seen anything explicitly written about taking diversity P/F so I just assumed that you couldn't (and you assumed that you could)
Though I guess if you can take a GE/diversity P/F, you should be able to take diversity P/F as well.</p>
