Writing and Science. Kind of Reading

Ok, my composite is a 30 with 34,31,28,27. 7 writing
My superscore is 34,33,28,28. 7 writing

Writing.
Whenever I write my essays I do not get even a full page full. In my AP English class I always receives 3, 4, or maybe a 5 if I'm lucky. My problem is that I write so slow. To top it off the ACT has to be in pencil. My teacher had me copy an AP test essay word for word for 40 minutes. I got about 1 page out of 3 written in that time. I feel I could raise my score to at least a 10 if i was able to get more words written in that 30 minute period. I hardly raise my pencil for anything but spaces and starting a new paragraph; I just run out of time. Does anyone have advice for writing faster?

Science.
In my Princeton Review 1296 Q book I got a 36 on my first science section when untimed. Only about 30 of them were done when I ran out of time. with about 25% correct when guessing it puts me at 27-28. I read the whole passage.
I tried to read the questions and only go back to the passage if needed. I had 38 done when time ended, but I missed 8 of those, and I got really stressed out.
Are there any other methods for going quicker on the science?

Reading.
My dilemma with reading is also a time thing. It's odd though. I normally get 95% of the questions I answer correct, but I am unable to finish. Any advice for going faster?'

Thank you very much!

Reading and Science: Don’t read the passages/graphs. Jump to the questions and hunt down the answers.

Writing: As long as you don’t write completely illegibly, speed up and stop worrying about your handwriting (that is, if your problem is you want your handwriting to be perfect).

I’ve taken the ACT about seven times, tomorrow being my eighth. I’ve only scored a 28 on Reading (my highest).

I’ve asked multiple ACT tutors and teachers for a good reading strategy and they have all told me that it depends on the individual person. The most logical conclusion would be to just go to the questions and then hunt it down in the passage, but I don’t do that. I read as much as I can. If you read then you are more than likely to get more questions right (but you are also putting yourself in the position to not be able to reason the choices. You must know it as soon as you read the question if you read the passage.)

My friend got a 35 on the Reading and she read all of the passages (she’s a speedy reader). Just do what feels comfortable to you! But my problem is that I try to reason the choices, and you can’t do that! Go with your gut!
