Writing Proficiency Exam

Does anyone know the structure of this exam? What are you asked to do? How long is the exam? When can you take the exam?

Any information is appreciated.

Are you an international? I’ve never heard of this

No. I’m a sophomore transfer to stern and you can take this test if you have more than 21 credits to place out of writing the essay. I am just unsure what you have to do during the exam.

Wait really? 21 credits or anything? Is this just stern?

I think it’s all schools, not really sure. You can take it if you have 21 credits or more, and either have already taken 2 writing courses at your previous school or submit a portfolio of two pieces of writing (5-6 pages).

The writing exam is usually given during orientation.
I was a transfer student and they gave it to us during the transfer students orientation, the same day they gave out the summer reading book. Our welcome ambassadors walked us to the test.

Don’t worry about the test, it isn’t difficult, they just want to make sure you can spell and write a paragraph, etc.,

I think they give you 30 minutes or so, but you won’t need that much time.

Hi, do you still remember what’s the topic you have to write within the 30 min? thanks!!!
