Why do many colleges not put much weight on the SAT writing score? I scored extremely highly on my writing section and got an 11 on my essay, and I scored highly on my critical reading section as well. The only section that is dragging me down is my math section (which is not bad, but not of the same caliber as my critical reading/writing sections)

I know that lots of colleges only look at your CR/M scores and I am wondering: if my intended areas of study are not math based, will the college look at my math score with a grain of salt? My CR/M score does not show how well I scored on full SAT and it's causing me a lot of stress.
