Writing Supplement

How long can the supplement be? What if there is foul language? (for realism) is that okay? Thanks.

Well, it depends on the degree or frequency of foul language, and how colorful it is, I would think. If it detracts from the point of your essay (i.e. making it the one thing Adcom will forcus on), then try to eliminate it.

If you’re accessing the supplement form the Common App, it should be about 500 words (that’s what it says by the prompt: “Please limit your response to 500 words,” or something like that.

I think he means supplemental materials - like sending in poetry or short stories. In that case, you shouldn’t send too much because you don’t want to bog down the admissions officers. A few poems, maybe part of a short story. I agree with Dramacratic about the foul language.
