Writing tips from 700+er's?

I got an 800 with a 10 essay. Advice for essay is to come up with a solid thesis and 3 examples to support it. Standard 5 paragraph is the way to go. For examples think of books you have read, historical figures, or even people from your own life. If you really can’t think of a good example, just make up a person who fits the prompt and supports your thesis.

For the MC, I honestly didn’t study at all, it’s just common sense to me. The writing section does not have complex grammar concepts, it really just tests you on simple proper grammar. Think subject-verb agreement, parallel sentence construction, verb tense agreement, and adjectives vs. adverbs. When in doubt, go with your gut (assuming you speak well and know proper grammar). Practice makes perfect, so practice practice practice! A good way to study is to do practice sections, and read the explanations for the correct answer. This will help you understand the grammar concepts involved.

Good luck!
