WSU adapts performances to 2021 social distancing

Here are two radio interviews with Joe Deer discussing all the upcoming MT/Acting/Film/Dance performances for this semester - starting Feb. 26 through the end of the semester. They have really gone out of their way to explore the “opportunities” this year has presented - loading docks, parking lots, outdoor amphitheaters, drive-ins, entry steps of the CAC, video streaming. IMHO, the student-led work has always been a major positive for WSU’s program, and the departments - and their students - have found new ways to foster that. This year’s students have had to learn performance and production skills their predecessors did not (including my S, 2018 MT grad). Performers and other creators have always needed to adapt to the times they live in. Sometimes a meteor strikes or a massive volcano erupts. Creative problem solvers can not only survive but thrive in a void left in the wake of apparent devastation.
