WUSTL vs Rochester vs Pitt vs BU

Got into all four (and Drexel, but not really considering it), and I just got rejected from CMU, so that's out. If I get into Cornell (unlikely), perhaps I'll reconsider, but anyway...
I want to major in Electrical/Computer engineering, possibly with some business and music side courses. I want to go to a school that has name recognition so I can get a decent job or into a great grad school (possibly MBA). I have a feeling Pitt and BU are not as highly regarded as WUSTL/UR in general, but is this also true for engineering?

Out of the four, the only money I have (merit) is $22,000/yr at Rochester, which is quite enticing. However, money, in the grand scheme of things, is not a huge issue, but I would be curious as to whether or not WUSTL is worth the extra 28k per year over Rochester. I really liked Rochester when I visited, and I have a feeling I'll love WUSTL when I visit over Spring Break. I want a safe campus with a good mix of people, including those who like to have fun in ways besides partying, like just hanging out and playing video games sometimes and stuff like that.

Thanks for your help!

WUSTL is only worth $28K extra per year if someone wealthy is happily willing to foot the bill.

Like I said, money is not a gigantic issue, but it would certainly be nice to save something, don’t get me wrong. I just want to know how WashU and Rochester compare in terms of their electrical engineering programs.

There’s a forum on topics related to engineering majors which might be more helpful to you.

Click on “discussion home” under the discussion menu and scroll down to majors for the engineering major specialty. I’ve found this to be a very active and informed forum.

^Thank you very much! I’ll post this over there.
