YAFAQ (yet another financial aid question)

I have the majority of the FA stuff paid out according to "Award Payment Status" on MyFinAid. However, I just activated my EFT today.

Do I pay the bill on CARS first and then get a refund for the paid out FA or is it a credit thing that requires no payment from me?

If the answer is it's a credit thing, will I get the leftovers transferred over to my account so I could use it to pay for books and stuff? If so, how long does that usually take?

Or is it something totally different?

Thanks.

Should be titled SOFAQ - same old financial aid questions

fin aid will be paid directly to CARS, you do nothing.

The leftovers (any credit balance) in your CARS account generates a refund within three days.

If you have EFT set up, the refund comes by EFT and the money appears in your bank account. If not, they produce a check for you to pick up.
