Yale 2016 SCEA Discussion Thread

Hi Asianboy88,
Isn’t the question what percent of class they admitted…not what percent of the early applicants? Or does that work out to be basically the same thing?

Accepted as an international! CC’s been down so much over the last few days so I haven’t had a chance to post :)

This thread is dead.

What did you expect? SCEA’s done.
Also, can anyone else not believe it’s only been 13 days since decisions came out? It feels like it’s been so much longer…

I can’t believe it has been less than 2 weeks. I guess all those accepted happily went off, those rejected are now shunning this forum, and us deferred are busy with apps lol. I still check this thread whenever I log on cc (quite often as I keep checking the MIT ask chris thread but I just submitted that so maybe less now). This thread kindof feels homey lol

So to all those deferred… Who is getting excited for March 29th?!

Excited? Sure! ;D
Especially since all the other ivy decisions are coming out the same day…!

ahh i really wished the ivies would space out their decisions…at least by a couple days.
my heart is going to go through a lot of ups and downs on march 29…hopefully more ups than downs =P
im already getting super nervous…even though its 25 days away. almost 24!

^ I agree. I hope the 29th is a good day but it has the potential to be pretty crushing :/. Is Yale still everyone’s first choice?

Yeah… won’t know until it gets here.
Yale basically remains my first choice. My pride’s still a bit shaken because of the deferral though…
I really want to get in! Ugh. Worst 25 days ever.

It’s still one of my top choices, and (obviously) I’d love to get in. What I actually appreciated tremendously about having to do other college apps over break, though, was that I saw things I liked in the other schools. It helped me recover quickly from the disappointment of being deferred, knowing that there were many options that I would be happy choosing among. Now, I’d say I’m fairly relaxed as April draws closer, but still hoping for the best like everyone else!

classicgirll, you are exactly like me. I’ve been deferred and was hoping for acceptance like crazy in december but :frowning:
hopefully Ivy day shows something nice, but I don’t think I’m expecting it anymore.

I feel exactly the same as you two! ^

I even made the SCEA decisions thread… :frowning: lol

What other schools did you get into ?

I heard that Yale’s admission process (for undergrad) is way different than any other school, and thats why they apparently seem harder to get into? is that true?

Is anyone else annoyed by the fact that March 29 is a Thursday, which means that if there are bad news, we still have to swallow our pride and face the “Did you get ins” and the “You’re too good for them anyways” at school next day? Receiving a bad decision is enough, but having to share it to the world is another level of painfulness >.<

Discussion is veering OT, 55 pages of SCEA discussion is enough for the Class of 2016!
