Keeping good company until April...

good luck to us :D

yes, good luck to us all!

hey everybody :D

hello fellow applicants!

hey earthdancer7! Excited already? :p

a bit, but trying not to get too excited… but I’m just lying to myself.

well, we all are on the same boat until april atleast! All the best guys. Hoping this thread becomes active

have any of you applied anywhere else yet? is yale your top choice?

For me its like:

Harvard
Stanford
Yale
Princeton
Caltech (accepted)
MIT (deferred)

Yale…Yale…Yale…

This thread is no good for me. Good luck, everyone. May the odds ever be in your favor.

^May I ask why? :o
Thanks. You too :D

hi everyone!

Stanford (rejected :()
UChicago
Northwestern
Carnegie Mellon

Looks like a lot more acceptances SCEA at top schools. Less spots RD so even harder to get in?..

Yale accepted the lowest number of applicants for SCEA ever (only 649), and that’s about 1/3 of the total of acceptances they’ll give out. So, compared to last year, there are more spots available. But based on the trend we’ve seen, there will probably be more applicants than last year (28,974 overall) seeing as the year before there were less (27,283). And with a 7.35% admission rate in for the class of 2015, and a 6.8% admission rate for the class of 2016, it looks like we’re going to have yet another year record high of applications and record low of admission rates (I’m guessing it will be in the lower 6% range). This is going to be fun.

But yes, good luck to us all!

As for my schools, I’m applying for international relations at: Yale (deferred SCEA); Stanford; Dartmouth; Brown; Georgetown; Johns Hopkins; UVA.

Yale RD hopeful here (deferred from Harvard so basically rejected)

I have written my supplement essay but it’s only 280 words and I love it the way it is, but I have to find a way to stretch it to ~500 within the next few days.

My expectations are low (I keep telling myself I’ll get rejected everywhere and have to go to a safety) so I won’t be disappointed in April.

@runner, don’t lower expectations yet! You’ll need your hope and motivation for the supplements, lower them after everything is sent :p

I’ll be applying RD, good luck everyone!

Im sure all of us will end up at great schools.
So, how’s everybody’s apps coming up? I am pretty tired of writing essays ughhhhh. The tension is eating me :(
