Did anyone receive the email about interviewing with a current Yale senior? I’m from Florida btw
what is a likely letter? can someone explain?
@lukethedog1 a likely letter is an indication from a college to an applicant they really want that the will be admitted when official decisions are released. its a way to get top applicants to start thinking about going to their school before they typically get acceptances to equally prestigious schools.
Hi all, I received a likely letter in the mail today, and i am ecstatic but also shocked.I didn’t think my application was that good, and I’m not an athlete/legacy/etc. Have there been any previous instances where yale has sent any “accidental” likely letters? I doubt this would be the case, but i really dont want to get my hopes up. thanks!
i jsut contacted my admissions officer and it was not a mistake! i am relieved

When is your interview with senior student?
@Volunteerism Tomorrow and I was sent the invitation Saturday, does this mean anything?
@squid123
Officially, no. However, being this late on the interview cycle… it might be a good sign. As it was mentioned on the Brown blog: “Rumor has it that some emergency interviews were granted to candidates who make it to the later rounds but have not received interviews.”
Good luck in any case.
What about getting an interview email on feb 1st and doing the interview on Wednesday?
We are in NorCal and no interview invite so far.
My son got an email today to interview via Skype this week. We’re in TX.
@LibbyOK same. We are in Norcal as well.
@MamaLovesThem you also posted comment for UPENN interview. Sounds like your son has 2 interviews this week. Good luck.
Yes, he does. Thank you. Best wishes to your son.
So guys are Yale likely letters done by now or there will still be more?
@grundeis my friend received one yesterday evening, so it’s safe to assume they’re still going out.
Do internationals get likely letters? Anybody know if someone from India has gotten any?
I was just contacted for my interview in Idaho, but the interviewer lives 3+ hours away. Weird.
@ski_racer Good luck!
Was the first contact by email or phone?
My MIT interviewer was in CA and I am in FL so we did the interview via Skype.
