I don’t always agree with the sometimes uber PC bent of the university (see Halloween protests), but I am proud of the school for taking a position that encourages speech, protest and engagement by our young adults on any important issue (on whatever side).

Did anyone else receive an email from the financial aid office stating that they had not received all the necessary documents? Why would they stress me out like that when they’re not due until March 1st lol

@HelloThereHola I’m sure they just want to remind you in case you forgot. :stuck_out_tongue: It may take time to process the documents so reminding you closer to the deadline would be even more stressful.

I got two emails about it now even though I thought I turned everything in :o

have just received an email from a financial aid counselor about my noncustodial profile waiver. My father is homeless, sleeps in his car and works full time, yet watches me and my sister while my mom goes to work. No one knows about his situation except for me and my sister.

I do NOT want him considered as a source for financial aid. Unfortunately I need supporting letters from a third party. I never talk about this to people so I didn’t have any.

To make a long story short, I got a really RUDE email from this woman and I am actually very upset. Apparently, since I SEE him, he can give me money for college? what? >:P

All I want to do is get into the college smh :))

@greeneandh That sounds tough! If you get a letter from your counselor explaining, maybe they would allow him to not count towards your aid.

Thank goodness my dad doesn’t even have contact with me so it’s not too complicated.

@HelloThereHola That’s the thing! My guidance counselor has retired and is MIA 8-X

Never received an interview. Oh well :-/

@MaybeHarvard2022 same

My interview was supposed to be tomorrow but she had to reschedule for Thursday

Same y’all lol oh well! @MaybeHarvard2022 @abraham2311

@MaybeHarvard2022 @yayaylearner Perhaps a late interview is in our near future?? Lmao jk

@ski_racer Goodluck!

Same here , no interview

still regret not going to local meeting place last fall and no interview.

Hi!

I’m probably going very off tangent because I haven’t read a chunk of the previous replies, but I wanted to ask if there’s some sort of pre-screening and selectivity involved in the interview process of international students, especially from countries that probably have limited interviewers like Egypt, India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. I ask this because the general CC consensus seems to be that pre-screening and selectivity plays a major role in Harvard’s decision in whom they want to interview from developing countries.

Personally, I think it’s very random, because I got one in the Early round and got deferred. Yet, there’s some trickle of hope inside of me that makes me want to believe it’s true!

what time do decisions come out?

Brown is supposed to be 5pm ET but Princeton is 7pm ET, so it should be somewhere in between

is it worth to send a ONE page update now even the award is kinda small?

Wondering the same thing
