@piexterminator don’t worry too much about that, probabilities are the Higgs Boson of math: nothing within them is a forgone conclusion.
@notigering, your math does not account for “Deferrals” from SCEA. Given that 55% of applicants in EA round were deferred (per Yale), one needs to add 3153 to the denominator. 35307-1214-5733+3153 or 31513 considered in RD. 1387/31513 = 4.4%
You are absolutely correct @holistic2, 55% wow and yikes…
Soooo…is it 7 pm yet?
Thanks
@piexterminator

Good luck! Some lives are about to change FOREVER!
& most people will be devastated:/
Just want to say good luck one last time. It’s been a wild ride these past four years. All of our work was not for college admissions, it was to make the world a better place. No matter the outcome, remember that what you did throughout your high school career was noteworthy. Whether you did research, volunteered, started a business, a club, etc. You made this world a better place, and a college decision cannot take that away.
Current Yale student here. Just wanted to let you all know that will be happy no matter where you go! Congratulations if you get in, but if you don’t, it’s definitely not the end of the world.
Well I never thought it’d come to this and I’d actually get the result(s), but it did… Good luck all <3
Good luck everyone…

D was denied. Not too fussed–going to a top-ranked school on a full ride. Phooey, Yale!
