Is Yale totally out of my league? be honest please, but keep in mind that i'm only gonna be a junior so... :)

Yale is well within your league, especially considering you’re going to be a junior.

you’re a math beast, just raise that CR section score up to 750+, keep your 4.0, kick some more major math butt, and you’ve got as a good a chance as any

Stop making the rising seniors like myself feel bad :p

If you retake the SAT and get a 2300+ and get 5’s on your AP exams then you should be fine. Also, keep up your 4.0.

ughhh my SAT reading sucks. Thanks guys, any other suggestions?

no need to retake bio

are you sure? do you think my chances at HYPSM would be affected cuz I don’t have a 770+? I know like all of the applicants have amazing scores.

ARML is the hardest thing I ever tried doing.

It’s really cool that you excel in it.

haha here’s a secret: I actually suck at it. It’s just that my teammates are geniuses, and there are only like eight girls so it’s not too hard to be the best. It is ridiculously hard.

bumppppppppppp

The funny thing about Yale is that…it’s Yale. And a school like Yale will have an incredible number of truly stunning applications to choose from. You’re obviously very, very bright, and I think you should definitely apply, but try for an unusual (not weird!) essay and some sort of hook to make you stand out. Thus far, your profile, at a glance, probably looks similar to an unsettling amount of other profiles that will be submitted to Yale this fall.

ugh. thanks.

buumpppppp

Well, I am going to be honest. I have seen people in my school w/ better recs. Sorry to say this but your application is average.

Your stats are typical Ivy League stats, maybe a little lower.

State and national awards for playing the piano? Could you please elaborate.

I really don’t think that you have to worry to much about the objective stats (Sat IIs, GPA, etc). Although raising your CR score might (only might) help, your scores are definitely already high enough (I got in without any hooks with a 2260) to give you a decent shot. Concentrate on the essay (well, considering you are a little young, you do have time for that), and win as many awards as possible, because those two things are what will truly make you stand out.

^^^This is probably what I will have when I actually apply to college in my senior year.
My SAT scores are already up, and I forgot to mention a lot of stuff in this thread.

^lol i laugh at your stupidity. I bet you’re not even smart enough to get into a community college.

“pretty below average scores”? lol a 2280 is well above the 99th percentile, and near the 75% of admitted applicants.

Maybe YOU should try Pittsburg.
