Mine has changed too.

I think it just means that they have either begun review or completed review of your application.

Fingers crossed for early hearing!!! They’re probably just sorted out their computer systems… might be ready for wednesday or something…

Oh, I noticed that, too. I thought that I had just missed those the other hundred times I sent them.

I do have a concern, though. I sent three teacher recommendations, one of those from a 10th grade teacher. I had my Junior/Senior Year teacher send hers by mail instead of the Sophomore one, since it would have been easier for the former to do sothan the latter.

But it’s my sophomore one whose name is listed (since she was sent via the common app), so I’m nervous about whether they got my third one. There is no confirmation.

Did anyone else send a third recommendation, and is there any indication of it on their page?

My recommendations got changed to the names of my teachers too…what does this mean…?

Just to reiterate this, but I emailed yale and asked about the mid-year report thing, and they said that just to send it whenever the reports are available. they understand that a lot of the times these reports won’t be available until january so it’s not a big deal.

I doubt we’ll actually hear till Friday… but who knows?? SUSPENSE

Philovitist, the two reports that show up on the application status page are the two “main” recommendations that were considered in your application. The third and supplemental recommendation WILL NOT appear on the status page. I sent one in from my piano teacher and I had to call the admissions office (I did this at about the middle of November) to confirm that it had arrived and they said that it was in their system.

I believe that, on the application status page, it says that Yale cannot update the status page with supplemental materials.

Coolio.

/1000th post.

Can’t believe how many times you guys log on to the portal. It takes me like five minutes to find it every time so I’ve bothered a grand total of twice.

^Congrats! Worthy post.

I think I’ve logged onto the portal about 10 times since I’ve submitted my application, all for different reasons, haha.

I have this dream that I’ll log on, and by slippage of the adcom, I’ll somehow see a decision instead of my information. Or any update. At all.

Now that you mention it, I wonder if there are any hints in the URL…

In a sudden fit of anxiety I redownloaded my Yale app from the Common App site and reread everything. No bad spelling or grammar errors, thankfully. Honestly, I’m really happy with my essays and I feel that they set forth an accurate portrait of me-- and one that I like. At this point, I have to accept the fact that if I don’t get in, I just wasn’t right right student for Yale. At least I know that they’re judging me based on who I actually think I am.

Gah, these days are taking forever! I had a couple friends get their golden tickets to Columbia on Thursday. I’m so happy for them, and also so jealous. How nice that feeling would be. On the other hand, a friend got deferred from Caltech today… hope that’s not me on Friday (but it very well may be).

MangoFloat - RE @keesh17 YIKES I really hope it comes out Friday, I remember it was on the email that Yale sent out about the ELI accounts.

Thanks, yes, it does say it in the email - Dec 14th.

litotes, same here. I’ve done that a couple times, actually. I haven’t found anything monstrously wrong either and even now, I think my essays go well together and portray a nice image of me.

CC20132017, there’s just a bunch of random letters. What does yours say? Mine says something to the effect of: ban1acas, etc…

Yeah, that’s what mine says. Dang it. We’ll see on Friday, I suppose.

By way of explanation, mid-year reports will only be of concern after decisions have been released for SCEA admits and deferreds. Yale will want to see your first-semester or trimester grades if you are admitted or if you stay in the regular decision pool. (Yale will notify SCEA-admits of this if they are delinquent. I am not sure if they provide the same notice to SCEA-deferreds.) Of course RD applicants need to provide them, too, hence the checklist entry on the status page. And, if you are admitted and choose to attend, Yale will want a copy of your final grades, too.

BTW, Yale has already posted this page in anticipation of its 2017 entering class. I hope many of you will find this a useful link in the future.

Mine says /ban1acas/ugascpkg.show_main

Hopefully that means acceptance! Haha

Maybe we were all accepted :O

Haha.

Descartesz, the existence of that page kind of freaks me out.

Ooh, free health care.

pls/ban1acas/ugascpkg.show_main
