Is there ANYBODY who didn’t get his/her ELI ACCOUNT? I submitted my Commonapp on last hours, and my counselor finished his work on 19th of November. PLEASE TELL ME will they consider my application for SCEA? I would very very appreciate if someone from USA could call the Admsision office for me. I can’t call them for various reasons and EMAILING will mean that I will have to wait for another 3-4 days before they give their response. If so,eone could help me with calling, PLEASE PM me! I NEED SOMEONE WHO COULD CALL ADMISSION OFFICE PLEASE!!!

Check your “junk” or “spam” folder to see if it didn’t end up there…

The harvard thread is talking about decisions coming out the 11th… is it possible decisions will come out BY the 16th and not ON the 16th?

@Whattodo122 i think it’s bullocks because in the past years it’s always been the evening of 16th

@TIJANAS Well thats what I was thinking, but my sister for instance found out form harvard the 13th when they said the 16th last year…
But maybe Yale is more strict about their schedule (I just want to know so bad)

@Whattodo122 hahaha I feel ya man. Where u from?

@TIJANAS Are you from the UK?

@emenya no! From Serbia! Although I just returned from London today haha… Fair guess tho you?

Do you guys think certain people from certain countries which are, let’s say developing or just not so known, have higher chances of getting in? Surely it’s not a deciding factor, but it does carry some weigh no?

from the hot, hot state of Texas Nigerian blood tho! When I saw bullocks I was just thinking that was such a British think to say. My friend is in his first few months in America at my high school bullocks is a word he uses when he’s steamed ;)

From New Jersey - talk about an anti-hook in terms of location.
Question, what kind of chances does a high scoring (35 on the ACTs) Hispanic student have? Irregardless of other factors

@emenya hahaha naaaah, I’m in a British skl in Swiss, so I kinda have to use bullocks and bloody from time to time
That’s such a cool combination! I can already see you getting into Yale cuz of that diversity
How’s Texas? Do you have that famous accent haha? Allll my exes live in Texas! Gta for life haha

Lol I can only hope @TIJANAS ! I love Texas so much! Although it’s hot (a lot of times, and don’t get me started on the humidity) I think “TEXAS is the best of the 50 nifty United States from 13 original colonies” (Sorry, had a 3rd grade flash back ) To be honest, I have more of a Texas accent than a Nigerian one. Sucks can’t I can’t do my stern African father voice :(

And I love Drake! OVO crew for life!!!

@Whattodo122 probably as high as anyone else with 35 act…

You don’t think any higher because of the URM part?
Lets keep this thread active guys - Harvard SCEA is murdering us!
GO YALE!

@Whattodo122 I’d say being Hispanic and having a 35 on your ACT would be pretty impressive. I’m pretty sure the average ACT score for URM’s is lower than for Asians and whites, so that puts you at an advantage.

I have a question for you guys. I was selected as a Coca-Cola Scholars Semi-finalist and I’m not sure if I should notify the admissions committee or not? What would/did you guys do?

Notify them! Its a prestigious accomplishment!
Thanks @premedbound15

What’s everyones indicated major? And what Residential College are you all hoping for if we get in? fingers crossed
For me: Global Affairs and Timothy Dwight

Bioengineering! Although I feel like switching my major to Literature or something All this poetry in AP Lit is sooo exciting!

Economics and Computer science for me.
