My circumstance is kind of atypical
I have been in usa for a year as an international student. Before i learnt in community college ( i was so naive at that time). Then i skipped cc and in april, i began taking the sat test to apply to Yale. Now I live in Florida.
I will email him again but is it weird to ask him again for an interview? Since he made it clear that he already notified yale and someone would contact me shortly. Obviously no one contacted me
Thanks for your consideration.
@zacle1234 I think you should definitely follow-up. Nothing wrong in doing that. Especially since I think interviews have a deadline of december 1st.
Guys I forgot to self-report my SAT Subject Test scores on the Common App. Theyâre still included in my official score report that I sent. Do you think that will hurt me or make me look bad? Or will they realize that I probably just forgot? Iâm just worried that they base decisions on self-reported scores first and then after making decisions check official score reports. Is that the case?
I dont know how they look at reports, but I would believe that it wouldnât hurt you since they are not even required.
3 weeks from today until SCEA decisions!!!
@mjstewart1224 Oh God donât remind me. Praying that we are all happy with the decisions!
We definitely wonât ALL be happy.
Of course, but I wouldnât wish that only I am happy. In an ideal world, we all will be. But if everyone could get into Yale, Yale wonât be special anymore. In short, good luck to all of us.
Did everyone receive that email âCurrent Conversations at Yaleâ and âAn Update from Yaleâ about the conversations happening at Yale about diversity and inclusion? A friend thinks itâs sent to a select few, but I think itâs sent out to everyone who applied.
It was sent to my son who is recruited athlete with LL. donât know if this helpsâŠ
@collegeapp2020 I received those emails as well. I think they were sent out to everyone who has submitted or at least started an application.
Pretty sure itâs sent out to all applicants. It wouldnât make sense to send it out to just a few.
Yeah, I canât imagine why they wouldnât send them out to everybody. I found them pretty interesting reads. What did you guys think? Have the conversations made you have second thoughts at all (which is that I think the emails were anticipating)?
@collegeapp2020. I also received both emails.
I received both of those emails, and I havenât applied yet. However, I also received an email from them that said something along the lines of âthank you for starting your application for Yaleâ so maybe it was sent to anyone who is going to or has applied to Yale?
I am sure it is sent to anyone who started or submitted an application. The whole issue and the protests have not made me reconsider Yale. It is still my very top choice and I am in love with it. This doesnât change anything.
Hi guys, how many SAT subject test scores are you reporting? (if you chose to take the SATs)
Donât think it makes sense to report more than 2 unless you did really well (750 or better) on more.
@albo1212 i understand Yale used to ask for 3 so Iâm a little worried about whether or not I should submit three scores
