Sorry, I didn’t read my comments before I posted… I would only send SAT subject test scores in if they are outstanding and improve (or further solidify) your qualifications based upon your required scores.
@albo1212 haha it’s ok! thanks for the reply!
Good luck!
When my D applied in 2012 they were asking for 2 SAT subject tests not 3.
I thought it was 2 in the past, but now none are required. Although they are recommended… I just wouldn’t send any in if they dilute your required scores and grades though.
AO asked my son about his AIME score. What do you guys think? Good sign?
@RoselandWeighing - How did the admissions officer contact him?
@RoselandWeighing In my opinion, that is a great sign.
@RoselandWeighing , I was contacted by phone for my PLTW engineering exam score. For me it was that they wanted to double check that I correctly reported my score on the common app. Maybe that was the case for your son, could also be that he forgot to list the score in the blank where it said to report any extra tests along with scores
Hi everyone, i just receive my November SAT Subject test scores but The order is still pending. Should I contact Admission office and tell them to wait for my SAT subject scores to arrive??? PLEASE
@zacle1234 , my Nov 14th orders are pending as well. Give it 7-8 days. If it doesn’t get in by Nov. 28th-then definitely call them on the 30th. Thats what I’m gonna do. But I guess I let them know by calling them tomorrow to be safe.
By email
thank you
@Xboxgamergirl it’s the first time I heard about PLTW exam. Good luck to you!
@lh7636 @T26E4 Regarding interviewers telling applicants that receiving an interview means they are being considered, mine actually told me the same thing, although the interviewer did mention my scores and etc were completely unknown. All that was said was that receiving an interview meant I was “being considered” but was quick to emphasize that this didn’t technically mean much in the long run.
@ccstudent101 Sorry to hear your interview went that way. That was my greatest fear actually, as a friend of mine received a brief 25 minute interview where the interviewer hardly acknowledged his comments. You’re not alone. I just got lucky with mine, as the person was quite informal to the extent that they felt free to curse (albeit mildly) during it. But I don’t think the interview will matter too much in the grand scheme of things.
@Kasami , my interviewer cursed as well. He said the d word and the h word. He also mentioned the s word
I didn’t get an interview yet. Does this mean I’m not being “considered?”
@werewolf2016 I’m not sure if your question is a response to my post, but if so, I wouldn’t take it too seriously. All the information I’ve heard from accredited posters on this site as well as from sources in my own life point to the belief that interviews are given to anyone, as long as they are offered in the area. That’s why I was so taken aback by my interviewer’s comment. So I don’t think it means you’re not being “considered”, especially if your stats and etc fit the norm for Yale. Don’t stress about it.
@werewolf2016 It might also depend on the number of available alumni interviewers in your area. People in my area have gotten interviewed in the past, but there is a Yale senior from my area that didn’t get an interview when she applied. I don’t think (and hope) getting / not getting an interview reflects much on your chances.
