@16elir and anyone else applying early. Even if Yale is your dream school and you are accepted early, you should go through with your regular decision applications if you are applying for FA.
*if, please don’t give up hope.
yeah that’s right, never give up! believe in yourself!
My son finished his interview a few weeks ago. It was a casual affair (even though he wore a tie) at one of Arizona State’s Tempe student hangout cafes. The interviewer was in sweat pants and a ASU School of Law professor, totally cool professor from what my son said. They talked about great books and Camus’ Myth of Sisyphus. My son thought she was awesome. Probably has little or no bearing on his acceptance/rejection, but his interviewer was down to earth and helpful in helping him relax and just be himself. 11 days…we’ll see! Best of luck to other fellow interviewees.
I haven’t been able to sleep the past couple nights… I’ve been so anxious, I keep wandering this site…
Hang in there, @Shoumei . The wait is almost over. I’ve been anxious too!!! I actually downloaded a couple of audio books to listen to as I fall asleep to keep my mind off of Yale. It has really helped me relax.
10 days…!
@mjstewart1224 thank you! I’ll try that tonight
Guys, someone is messing with the Harvard SCEA thread and everyone is FREAKING OUT. :))
@mjstewart1224 what, where? :)) I can’t see anyone messing
Ugh why are other Ivies releasing decisions on the 10th and Yale decides to do so on 15th? It’s really annoying
Someone said they already received their decision and everyone flipped out.
And yeah, it sucks to wait an extra 5 days. But we will make it!!!
Did Yale ever visit any of your schools?
@lh7636 A Yale alum came to my school last year while I was a junior. I think my school may have specifically requested for her to come. It may have been because the year before my school had the first acceptance to Yale.
Okay so I’ve begun obsessing over other schools so as to lessen the blow of my rejection. I’ve fallen in love with many other schools that I don’t plan on applying to and I do suggest doing that. I’m now following some Stanford vloggers (Cath in College) and a bunch of her and her friends’ social media accounts haha. It’s really taken my mind off Yale seeing that the period after Thanksgiving and before winter break always seems really long.
Lol my school is having someone come over in January, which seems sort of useless since it’s after RD deadlines
@lh7636 A Yale representative visits my school every year in early fall. If I recall correctly, my GC said the representative was the regional reader for our district.
I do know that Yale sometimes sends alumnus and reps to present acceptance letters, but it’s rare. My NC school had one 2yrs ago.
@Xboxgamergirl that would be kind of awesome.
Huh, I looked up the person and apparently he’s a current student at Yale
