@flwrgrl345 I don’t really know enough about all this to give you good advice but if this gives you any information, I too have found that Yale is the least open to communication out of the schools I looked at. Not sure why, but I’m sure it has something to do with the high # of prospective students who likely contact them
@RRman227 I called the Admissions Office last week and they told me final decisions would be released by June 30st (throughout the next two weeks). They said some prospective students were still on wait lists at other schools and were getting accepted there, thus delaying the process (since those students might choose the other school over Yale).
@flwrgrl345 As there are already around 990 students on the wait list (+ all of the already-admitted students), it is very unlikely they placed you on the wait list, too. Unlikely, but it’s not impossible, especially if you have had significant changes made to your application. I think you will hear back by June 30 –– if you were actually placed on the WL.
As for the emails –– Yale College emails ‘‘submitted through this (website) are answered by Yale students.’’ The admissions office might not even have seen your emails, since emails are apparently processed by students. Maybe you should call them once just to check? I’m not sure… Fingers crossed!
@user2019 Thanks for the info! I’ve got my fingers crossed as well, best of luck to you!
Update this morning to S’s portal = rejected
