Yale Class of 2027 Official Thread

Ok, did they ask for it and you uploaded it? Or they just randomly downloaded it from IDOC because you already had it there?
Trying to see if this form even means anything at this point… :grinning:

Did they ask for it?

Yes

Ok, I think that definitely is a good sign, especially that late.

My daughter doesn’t let me in her portals. I’m starting to think that’s a good thing. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

:grinning::grinning::grinning: yes, it’s a good thing, believe me…. I am the crazy parent who’s interested in all this portal astrology stuff… daughter doesn’t believe in it. And she doesn’t care if I check her portals for every small change :grinning::grinning: I need to start going back to the office, working from home is another reason that gives me time to check College confidential constantly, lol

Mine says complete, and I have the verification of household income dated 2/6

If you guys want astrology:
Yale: a few hours before decisions you’ll be able to see some required forms down in your portal if you’re admitted
Columbia: a few minutes before decisions, you’ll see a tab on top of the admissions portal saying « admitted students »
Harvard: a few days before decisions you should be able to log in with the same credentials on the admitted students portal

With respect, I wouldn’t be so sure. I would imagine that Yale would try to avoid a repeat of last year and patch that astrology? Who knows at this point lmao

While portal astrology is fun, be mindful and don’t login/hack/try to access webpages that you are not supposed to have access to. It’s ok to login to your portal, look at all the elements and try to read the tea leaves. But a completely different thing if you try to go logging in to links that you should not be having access to. I think a few years ago some students were rescinded for that.

It’s really easy to get carried away by all the suggestions you read on the internet, but definitely use good judgement and manage your own curiosity and actions!

Of course, common sense is key.

Urban legend. It didn’t happen

Yes definitely. I was referring to the specific suggestion to login to the Harvard Admitted Students portal.

Was it? I thought there was some hack that some students figured out and then were rescinded by Harvard?

To reiterate - urban legend.

That said, don’t try to hack in.

Interesting that it was not true, i certainly believed it to be. But yes, the point it is to be careful with portal astrology.

Hello! I got an interview request from Yale last night, but I thought the interview deadlines were over by now. Does this mean anything?

I had an interview around February 22 or something like that. I don’t think it means anything special.

Same here. I do not have access to any of my daughter’s admission portals.

Curiosity got the best of me. I had her show me her portal. She has that form with the long name, accessed by them around 2/20/23. We won’t hold our breath.
