I just thought i'd bump this thread to give my fellow deferees and rejectees some hope, that we truly are destined for great places. Looking at this thread definitely was reassuring

That was helpful. Thanks, guys, I needed this uplifting board :)

yea this is helping a lot.

Thanks, this is just what I was looking/hoping for. Looks like my short-lived "Reject Thread" will be retired after finding all the info I need in here. It's nice to see that all of these people ended up in great schools. I'm already feeling better, although I still love Yale.

Yeah. Really helpful. Just a question. Would going to Vanderbilt be better than going to Canadian top schools like U of T, McGill, and Queens? I feel so insecure without any American safety school on my list... but with my GPA I can practically go into any program in any university in Canada... Anyways. Yeah this thread really did give me more hope:D

vanderbilt is known for being really great in the medical field and a great undergrad college.

also, the general public knows what vanderbilt is.

To Ivyboy05 and Wrathofgod64:
How wonderful of you to start this last April, Ivyboy.....
and how excellent Wrathofgod that you remembered it and brought it forward....threads like this really take the sting out of a deferral and/or rejection. You kids are sooo talented....keep the faith in YOURSELF and you will be just fine. Stay focused and positive..... there could be a lead role at a different school, or a great roomate, a professor who will CHANGE your life...... who knows why things happen...... all you can do is control your attitude...... it is really the only thing in life you CAN control.

thnx everybody
thnx wrath
