Yale Email

Has anyone been able to create their Yale email account yet?
The admitted student website says you can after you have activated your Net ID, yet I already have and can't find anywhere to register or login.
Thanks :)

Hey, Congrats on choosing Yale 2014! Looks like we have something in common!

I had some issues with my email as well, but Yale should have sent you an email with a link, and a title that says “click this link to get the activation process for your Yale email started” or something like that…

And, on a side note, go to www.mail.yale.edu and use your NetID username and password… that is your email username and password (your email will be formatted like “firstname.lastname@yale.edu” or “firstname.middleinitial.lastname@yale.edu” if you choose)

Yeah, go Yale!
I went to the site, and it keeps saying “your CAS session has expired” when I login with my Net ID
I never got that email either, though I was just admitted on Friday from the waitlist, maybe i just need to be less anxious about getting my Yale stuff set up…has anything else been required of you after committing besides net ID activation and housing application?

Ummmm… Im going to go with no. I have only given them:

 1. My reply of YES (well, in my house I was going HELLLLL YESSS, but I dont think that was an option online :stuck_out_tongue: )
 2. Housing form
 3. Set up my NetID

As for your email issue… I had something similar, it wouldnt let me create my NetID. I emailed Yale and then received a response with some tips on how to fix it, and they gave me some numbers to call in a pinch…

k thx for the help,
really? the reply options they gave me were: 1) no s**t!! and 2) suck it, yale

You have to wait about a week to set up your e-mail. Then just go to the same link and it will stop saying “your session has expired.”

Aha not a problem! Glad to help fellow Yalies :D
