Yale Model Congress.

Hi guys,

My goal this Sophomore year was basically to get involved as much as possible yet not overdo it. I joined the Yale Model Congress today and didn't really get an idea of what the main goal is.

I guess I have an idea of it, but will it be a problem if I don't know how the system works like the Juniors and Seniors? I'm trying my best to really fit in and become one of the people they can rely on.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

What’s “Yale Model Congress”? I don’t think that I have ever heard of that before. Seriously, I doubt that there even is one in my city.

Yeah, I never heard of that. In debate, there’s a congress-debate which is a mock congress. I assume that what you’re doing is much like that.

Yeah, i know about that (but I do L-D debate, my friends do Congress). That is what I thought as well, but I have never heard of a “Yale” version of this. Does this “Yale” one more resemble Model UN (which I doubt exists in my town too haha. We have like nothing).

Lol. I’m a bit lost too.

I guess because there was a meeting for only Juniors and Seniors two weeks ago and there they discussed the important matter.

I guess it will only be a matter of time before the Freshmen and Sophomore kind of get the hang of things.

I’m just searching Google and stuff to find more information. Seems fun. :)

Haha ok! Have fun in that club-thingy! :)

lol, I don’t blame you, it seems so mysterious that there is limited info out right now for you guys. ;)

are you sure you don’t mean just student congress? I know Yale had a tournament a few weeks ago…

Anyone else?

I was going to ask the teacher running it today after school but unfortunately, he was away.

We have another meeting on Monday so I’ll wait until then. :)

I would look on their website.
