@diloloan72 I think ariiel has gotten an interview for round 2!
@lilkidlover I got 39 for IB
@jyjyjy thank you for the info. I’ve been stressed out as I haven’t heard anything from the school until now hic
@RayLiSingapore thats actually really high compared to my grades, im so stressed now
I just got an interview offer, and did okay on my GCEs. Does anyone have any interview tips? What kind of questions do they ask? How specific to your applications are the questions?
@diloloan72 I don’t think the day when you get contacted matters at all. I only got contacted for an interview (for round 1) on the 11th of February, and I sent my app on the 28th of December. I eventually got in
@okrajuice You definetely need to know how to explain why you chose Yale-NUS, but apart from that, I think they only asked me about my interests and normal interview things like that. The interview is somewhat specific to you, because I remember how my interviewer asked me how my move to a different country had changed me as an individual. But I wouldn’t worry too much about the interview. Sounds cliche, but just be yourself
submitted my app on common application, just had to check a box on the yale application
anyways did anyone else have a really bad interview?
It was soo boring all the questions were just like “what do you like about being in a community?” “what does community represent for you?” “How did your school help you grow as a person?” in comparison with Yale, Princeton and so on the interview was super dull. I did not learn anything exciting, and it was really not an engaged discussion about the world, books, history, idk really made me not want to go there. I was waitlisted but I think I am not going to stay on the waitlist
Hey everyone! I just got the interview and financial aid email! I’m so stoked! I hope I’ll do well and get in so I can join y’all!
Congrats @KitePhantom !! Good luck for your interview!
Hey guys! I just got the interview email too!!! I freaked out because I definitely didn’t think I could get in with my grades, but I’m just praying the interview goes well!
btw, does anyone know what the white boxes (not scheduled) means for the interview dates? will they become available later?
@amendoim that’s a huge help and such a relief to hear, thank you!
@samhita No, I think it just means it’s already taken/not available.
@okrajuice no worries! Good luck with your apps
Reposting this from the round 1 part of the chat!

All the best round 2 peeps (:
@samhita @okrajuice actually if I’m not wrong, white boxes mean they haven’t scheduled timeslots for those days yet, and they’ll likely open up soon. Keep checking back from time to time if you’d like to book on one of those dates! Good luck to all!
@RayLiSingapore Thanks so much!! Any helpful tips on how you prepared for the interview?
@achilleees Thanks! I thought as much but I was also worried I would wait too long and wouldn’t have an interview date haha.
