Yale Recruited Athletes - Blue envelopes??

I have just received 4 blue business sized envelopes from a coach at Yale, telling me to send my teacher recommendations and secondary school report in them. It is to denote that I am a recruited athlete. Anyone heard of such envelopes? or have received em?</p>

<p>It does not matter whether anyone else has received a blue envelope. You have. Your best bet would be to ask the coach who sent you these envelopes the question. That way you have a straight answer than merely speculation form a bunch of cyber strangers</p>

<p>Actually, it doesn't make sense. Wouldn't the admissions office prefer to get a list directly from the coach rather than rely on the candidates to use the "special" envelopes?</p>

<p>it's addressed to office of admissions... and has a label "YA" on the bottom left hand side..</p>

<p>Sounds like the envelopes for recruited athletes. I remember last fall, some athletes got purple envelopes for their applications from Amherst coaches to denote that they were the folks selected for athletic recruitment.</p>
