Yale Recruited Athletes - Blue envelopes??

Hi,
I have just received 4 blue business sized envelopes from a coach at Yale, telling me to send my teacher recommendations and secondary school report in them. It is to denote that I am a recruited athlete. Anyone heard of such envelopes? or have received em?

Cheers

lucky - wish I were a recruited athlete.

I've heard of purple envelopes at Amherst, I think. good luck

Are the any other people who have received such envelopes?

actually, I received blue envelopes on my OV to Yale, for the same purpose, although I do not understand why these envelopes are necessary, since the coaches put together their lists of supported athletes anyway. What sport are you being recruited for?

track n field

Yes my d received blue envelopes and she is a recruited athelte...

Although she is recruited her sport does not bring in the money. Therefore, she had to have at lease a 30 ACT. She also took AP (two he junior year and two he senior year) classes, she in all honors, and had a 3.7 unweighted and the coach still didn't like seeing a few B's.......

wat sport?

she was being recruited for golf

I have also found it to be true for a swimmer in our school district

....Many of the SEC /ACC school have your names tagged so when admission receives your application they know you are being recruited.
