Feel free to be truthful - no need to be humble.

I give myself a 55/45 chance.
(Probably less if I can't get my short takes done by the end of tomorrow...)

Now your turn!

Now your turn!

what are ur stats jc

does 55/45 mean 55% acceptance and 45% rejection?

Well in my case, I’m thinking 65% deferred, 10% accepted and 25% rejected

I’m not a good essay writer, and I didn’t start my second essay or any other parts of the app . Only finished the common app essay yesterday.

My academics are ok but i have 0 leadership. My EC’s are below mediocre. (like i’ve never seen a single person on this site, including those applying to lower-caliber schools, who have worse EC’s than me)

I’m not that close to my teachers, nor am I the kind of student that impresses them. The recs will be mediocre at best

I’m Asian

But still, I have a hunch that I will be deferred instead of rejected.

Kidfromvirginia, you seem to have a pretty optimistic view. I hope you have the application to back it up.

Although I suck at standardized tests (2070 SAT’s, 4 on AP Lit. 4 on AP Chem, 640 Math 2 subject test, 710 Chem subject test), my essays are really unique and my letters of rec are amazing so I’m really hopeful. I already bought a $60 Yale hoodie on my last visit!

My guess is that I’ll be deferred. I don’t think I have anything amazing in my app that stands out for me to be accepted SCEA, but I think I’m a decent candidate. I hope.

My GPA and standardized tests are pretty good, as is my unofficial class rank (we don’t rank, but I’d say I’m probably somewhere among the top 3 individuals) at the top comprehensive high school in my county for this year. But compared to everyone else on here my EC’s are majorly lacking. I have a lot of activities (a lot of them art-centric), but no major awards or anything. For academic awards, I have National AP Scholar and National Merit semifinalist…nothing special. I am, however, submitting a fine art supplement, which should hopefully increase my chances of admission. My rec teachers love me, but I’m not too sure about my counselor. She’s very intimidating. My ethnicity won’t help me at all, and I’m in a major rut right now concerning my essays. They’re pretty good, but I don’t feel like they’re polished yet :/

I think my chances of getting deferred are pretty high…but that’s the one option I don’t want to hear.
All I ever wanted was acceptance~ T.T

I find it unlikely that I’ll be rejected, so based on the results of the black students in the 2014 and 2013 results threads, I think I have a 50(acceptance)/50 (deferral) chance.

80% deferral, 19.9999999999% rejection, the remaining .0…1 % acceptance.

=D no harm in trying

^Aw, lol.
But you’re right, there is no harm in trying.

Ehh… maybe this is optimistic, but I’ll give myself 40% acceptance, 55% deferral, 5% rejection. My stats are great and I think (hope) my essays and recs are too, but my ECs just don’t really cut it… I’m pulling for the geography boost though :p

My rank is an infuriating top 11% in my class and my math SAT is pretty much 150 points lower than the other two sections…but other than that I think I have really good ECs (directed some plays, vps of some clubs, captain/lead attorney for mock trial teams) and interesting essays. I have no idea what my chances are.

All I want for Christmas is to wear a Yale hoodie! :)

Some of you are wayyy too confident going into this process…

I think im sitting on atleast a 65% chance of acceptance because I live in Illinois and I nailed my SAT

^Are you for cereal? Illinois is not Wyoming.

Woah, a real live person from Illinois! I can’t believe my eyes. :/

^^ I kno right?

I would have said i had a good chance, but my SAT 2 results are out tomorrow. They were AWFUL. So I’m gonna stay mum right now and come back here tomorrow with the results.

Hm…35 ACT, 4.6 weighted GPA, Siemens semi, Few international/national piano awards, played at Carnegie Hall. Submitted music tape and research abstract. I hope these go over well with the ad coms. I’d put myself at a 70/30?

35 ACT, 4.0 uw GPA, awesome essays, and strong EC’s… I think I’m 35% accept, 55% deferred, and 10% denied.

I would put my accept % lower, and it would be more realistic, but it would make me depressed.
