The lowest highest scores of those applicants will truly determine the intelligence. For example, silverturtle’s lowest SAT score is a 2400 lol that’s true intelligence.

^ No, this isn’t true because one can study before he takes the test the first time. (I’m not saying silevrturtule isn’t very intelligent, though.)

Oh but it’s not. Mind shattering revelation eh?

^Im referring to his first SAT’s after Junior year, not freshmen year.

^I know the fresh year one counts but the junior year one is what most ppl would send.

10% acceptance, 90% deferral

if I get in, it’s because of my recs (thank you teachers)
ecs-- nothing national, but lots of leadership and focused
essays… haha they were a bit last minute (literally)
rank- 1% hmm, but still not as good as I had hoped
sats- good sat iis but sat i is just cutting 2300 which is low for acceptees from my school

^where are these data?

I figure maybe 50 deferred, 30 reject, 20 accept.

20 accept, 50 reject, 30 defer? No idea. Just lower chance of getting accepted I guess…
But here’s hoping! :)

The 10% acceptance/90% deferral is his prediction for his chances if that’s what you were talking about

I think my teacher recs may affect my chances, since one was a sophomore year teacher. And I feel like his might be generic because he finished it pretty quickly and didn’t ask for a brag sheet or anything.

I have a question regarding deferral.
If one was to be deferred, is it possible to resubmit another version of the EA application for the RD? (I made some mistakes on my mine EA one that I really want to correct)
Plus, do I have to resend my scores to Yale if I was deferred? (please say no)

I wouldn’t mind getting deferred. It’s exciting to get a second chance.

@ahn123

No for both questions

Submitted Yale application, and hoping to date Silverturtle if I do get in. haha.
Wait, silverturtle. You’re a guy, right?

Uh… he’s a turtle?

what you think about my chances percentage wise

SAT- 1470
sat II- 750 math level 1 720 lit
GPA- 4.28 weighted on 4.0
class rank- 3/120

good recs, very strong essays or so i am told

@ havertown, you ECs do look a bit ‘jack of all trades master of none’ esque. As for the grades, I don’t really understand the American system, so can’t comment.

@havertown is your sat out of 2400? because if so, i would say nearly impossible because not even URM’s get in with that sat score. but if it’s out of 160, i would say you have just as much of a shot as anyone else. :)

Or full of it…I highly doubt anyone would wait until the day before applications are due to write their essays and complete the supplement!

@ havertown - Do you go to Haverford?
