@CSGuy123 i’m from Southern Africa.
Hey guys what does it mean if Yale is asking me for more financial documents. Does it mean they might have considered my application?
@chichewaboy , don’t read anything into it. Yale is need-blind admissions. The AO does not “peek” into the FA office.
It just means you were missing some documents.
Good luck.
@IxnayBob Thanks. All the best to you too!
If you sent in SATII scores that were not bad but not good, will it have a strong negative impact?
@jhosk10 Re-read what you wrote. The logic is in your own sentence.
@yalemasala You may be better off posting a chance me thread than asking here considering near everyone on this thread has applied and themselves does not know if they will be admitted.
@CSGuy123 lol what city you from? I’m from Lahore. Also guys my principal wrote a recommendation for me literally a day ago. Should I send it in or is it too late (also seeing that many people applied to Yale from my school and this might give me an edge)
@Arbaz16297 - AFAIK - recommendations have to be sent in directly by those who write it, not by the applicant.
There are numerous posts about the value of additional LoR. I suggest you read them.
The November SAT results were sent to Yale yesterday, do you think the admission committee will get a chance to review them. The website says the results might reach them in time for review, but I am a bit worried as the decisions will be released in 2 weeks.
Where are the Questbridge applicants with the results
There aren’t a ton of them and so it’s not that strange to see them not posting here. There were 40 last year in total.
According to this thread - 48 matched to Yale

The most of any Ivy…I wonder how many more of us they’ll take early…they took twenty percent more for Questbridge…
From what I heard, if scores reach Yale by the first week of December, they will be considered. So November scores are most probably brought into consideration.
@yalehopeful017 - remember Yale has new residential colleges opening. Perhaps the 20% more for QB (per your observation) will relate to 20% more for EA acceptances?
@MedSciBud That’s about right, because of 2 new residential colleges the acceptance rate should go up to 21/22 %.
@MedSciBud Sorry, actually I made a mistake with my calculations. Although it is true that Yale will admit between 300 and 400 more students for the class 2021, it is still unknown which portion of the spots will be allocated to SCEA. :)) But overall acceptance rate is expected to increase by 1%, so it’s not that significant anyways.
@colleges321 - I was just going off of @yalehopeful017’s statement. FYI - I have not done Yale SCEA. I was trying to give those of you who did some better hope!
On a selfish note - if Yale takes more of you, those of us applying to other Ivies may stand a better chance too!
